The Color Schemer
I don't know what I ever did until I found this site.
4. Click on EFFECTS, textures, blinds and use
The numbers 8 width, 100 opacity
And horizontal not checked,
Check light from left/top
5. Make this piece your active image then
Click on edit then copy then activate
Your other piece and paste as a new layer.
6. You can skip this part if you like but
I think It adds a touch of class.
7. On the same Layer
Open the gold texture provided
At the top of this lesson
Make this your foreground texture setting the background as NULL.
Using your draw tool set at line Width 5
and using Single Line draw a gold line near the darker border.
Using single line insures that it will be a straight line.
you can add a drop shadow to this if you like to make it stand out also.
8. Now for a little bit of magic here.
Since this is all on one layer
We can do this easily. Go to layers, then click on duplicate,
Then click on image mirror, for some reason my second layer kept
coming out a bit darker so i had to go to
Colors adjust brightness and contrast and put a
10 in the brightness. nothing in contrast.
9. We need to move the right layer over
a little bit to the left to allow
Room for the tool bar and still keeping our background nice,
Just a smidge now.
Click on Layers - Merge - Merge visible.
10. You can crop this at about 800 x 125.
11. I used FM Tile tools to make this a seamless
background tile.
Just Love this tool.
Click on Effects - Plug Ins - FM Tile Tools - Seamless Tile
Isn't this just beautiful??
There you go Add this as your background tile now.
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial
And come back and try some
More one day and hey bring
Your friends we'll do lunch.
