You will only need a ding font for a base or a base you can find online
Try this link for a base for your Delicate Crystal Egg. Julia's Bases
My First Rule Remember to Save.... Save.... Save....
1) Open a transparent image 350 x 350 Name your image and save to a file you will only need to click at the top after each step on the little diskette image to save now.(will need to resize)
2) Set your background and fill properties to a solid color I used white to get the crystal like appearance and set your foreground and stroke to transparent.
3) Add A new raster layer, Go to Effects - Artistic Effects at the top. Then to Balls and Bubbles (towards the top).
4) Select single ball under shapes tab.
5) On surface tab put opacity at 20, shininess at 50, gloss at 10.
6) Next Click on map, I chose Gold Filligre, You pick one that suits you. Make sure you have Bump Map checked and Fit Bump Map also checked.
7) I used the default settings that come with the program..... Smoothness =0, Depth =30. Click OK you will have something that hopefully looks like the image below. *smiles* Remember to Save.
8) (If making a Crystal Egg Skip This Step and Continue with #9.) Now you can use this as a globe by resizing it and adding an image to it and a base. Add a new layer and add your image on that layer and move that layer under your globe layer. If you need to resize your image make sure to go to Effects - Sharpness- Sharpen once to get your clarity back. Don't forget to merge your layers. If you would like to add sparkles for your globe skip next few steps, and go to step #13.
9) Click on effects at the top, Geometric, then perspective vertical
10) Put in the number 45, check the box for transparent. (see image)
11) Now click on Image at the top then flip and you have a crystal etched egg. You will need to resize the egg layer to fit your base on the egg. Make sure you click on Effects, Sharpness, Sharpen one time, after you resize your crystal egg. Merge Layers Visible and of course Remember to Save.
12) You can Add an image to it on a new raster layer and lower the opacity of that layer to make it seem as if it is inside the egg. Depending on the image lower it to about 60%. Use your judgment. I like them just plain with a base on them... there are many bump maps so you can make as many different one's as you would like add some sparkles and animate it. There is a lot you can do with these......
Below the tutorial is my Crystal Egg with sparkles on it... and another one without sparkles, both are using a different map.
Just so cool looking isn't it?? Don't forget to merge layers visible and SAVE.
13) If you would like to animate with some sparkles add a new raster layer and move that layer to the bottom. Then flood fill with a color you would like to use. Or use the color or back ground swatch of your web page so it will blend right in with it.
14) Merge these layers visible to add a border if you like.
Save your original image. Then make three copies to work with either close your original or minimize it. Add a few sparkles to the first egg, Add a few more than on the first egg on the second try to make them in different areas, then do the same on the third.
15) Save these to a new folder you make called Working Animation as Image1, Image2, and Image3. Make sure you save them as psp7 compatible images under the options tab in save as folder.
16) In animation shop do what I outline here in these steps I will tell you what each box is to have checked ok?
17) The animation wizard is in the top left hand corner click on it. Click same size, then next. You want it to say transparant here and have white in the box. If it is black click on the black change to white, then click transparent again. Click next. Click, center in the frame, with the canvas color, Next. Yes repeat and I am stuck on the number 20 for some reason, Lower the number faster the animation you can play with this till you have it the way you like.
Click next. Click add Image find you folder Working animation click on Image 3 then click and hold down your shift key and click on Image 1, click open, now they are all three there and in order neat huh? Click next, Then finish.
Now you see three frames; on the top right hand corner is a button that will show you your animation in action. If you like the speed and it looks nice Click file and save as. Name it what you want. It will now be a GIF file . Save , Next, Next again now you see your before optimiziation and after optimization images. If you like it, Click next then finish. All done now.... Take three breaths and say Yahoo!
I did it......
