1. We only need three frames for this animation. 1) Closed box, 2) Half open box, 3) Open Box 2. Now to do this you would only need three images so this is fairly simple. 3. First we will resize all layers by 75%. Then Lets make two copies of this image you will need total three images. 4. Ok on one copy merge visible all layers now you have your final frame. Decorate if you wish With A Hearty Boo! Save in a folder Called Animation Save As Image3. 5. The next easier one would be the second one, all we need for this is the ghost peeking from the lid so lets close all layers except for the head and face and merge these two visible then keep the body and the hands layer closed with the red x. Let's pull the head layer down a bit so it looks like it is going into the box, let him peek his eyes out a bit. Just move it below box front layer click and drag it down on the layer palette And let's make it look like the crank is turning. 6. Close all layers except the Handle, Crank and knob, merge visible. Rename to Handle. Open all layers click and activate the Handle layer, click on your deformation tool, then pull from the top down just a so it looks as if it has turned half around. It will move it just enough looks are very decieving. Now to make the top of the box look as though it is beginning to close Lets click to make this the active layer, click on deformation. Now pull down the top just a tad and pull out from each side some as seen in the picture below. Merge visible and save as Image 2 
7. Let's work on Image 1. we want the lid to appear close so we are going to pull the top down about half way and pull out on the bottoms a bit see Image below. When moving the sides out hold down ctrl key or use perspective mode in psp8. To keep only the end you are working on moving and the other will remain in its place. Save as Image1 
8. Open animation shop and add your three images in order of appearance. click on The image and see if you like the speed if not click on animation, frame properties. I made the first one to read 55, 2nd to read 60 and third to read 55. see how that works for you.
