My neighbor is a real crafter and has this hanging on her door, I just had to try it in psp, I didn't design the craft item I just adapted it for PSP. I'm trying to get her to pull out her
Christmas stuff so I can get some more ideas from her. LOL
Make your foreground color #D37645 , make your background color #924B24
These colors will be used throughout this tutorial.
1) Open a transparent image 388x300
2) Add a new raster layer, pumpkin1
3) Load selection pumpkin1, flood fill with foreground color,
Invert selection and add a drop shadow
H & V 4, Opacity 60, Blur=35,shadow color #924B24
Do the drop shadow again changing only the
V & H to -4 shadow color #924B24
Deselect, Add noise of 4%. Your image should look like the one below.
5) Repeat exact Instructions for pumpkins 2 and 3 adding
a new raster layer for each pumpkin.
6) Add a new raster layer, lines. Set your background color to null and your foreground color To #924B24, load selection lines,
flood fill with foreground color.
effect blur add a gaussian blur of 4.
Yours should look similar to the picture below
7) Add a new raster layer, Load face1, flood fill with black, deselect, add noise4%, Repeat with remaining pumpkin faces adding a new raster layer for each.
8) Make your foreground color #A97B4F. And your background color #924B24. Add a new raster layer, stem1,
load selection stem1.flood fill with foreground color, Invert selection, add a drop shadow of V & H=2, Opacity=20, blur=7 shadow color #000000. add same drop shadow changing only the V & H to -2
Deselect, Add noise at 3%
9) Repeat for 2 remaining stems adding a new raster layer for each.
10) Add a new raster layer, load selection sign, flood fill with #F7F1EB. Selections Invert, add a drop shadow for depth of V & H 2, Opacity 100, shadow black add another drop shadow changing only the
V & H to -2,Deselct,Add the sign selection again Invert the selection,
Use same drop shadow for pumpkins H & V =4, Opacity= 60, Blur=35,
changing the shadow to #EFD0B0, repeat the drop shadow
changing only the V & H to -4, add noise at 4 % deselect
11) Make your foreground color #D37645 , make your background color #924B24. Add a new raster
layer, load selection star, flood fill with your foreground. invert selection make a drop shadow
of H & V=2, Opacity=20,blur =10, repeat the same drop shadow changing only the H & V to -2.
12) Duplicate this layer then click image mirror and move this into place on the right side of your sign....
Use your favorite Halloween font to write what you would like your sign to say.
Ok you may merge visible and I resized mine at 80% of original, you can save this as a tube or add a background and you have a cute
Halloween sign now...
