This is what we will be making today

"Little Bear"





Tools you will need.
PSP 7 or 8 Get a Free Trial offer of PSP 8 HERE

(Instructions are for PSP 7, But you can adapt to most any version)

Let's Get Started (Remember To Save Often)
We will use the same settings on color and eye candy and drop shadow through out this tutorial. So i don't need to remind you a lot. Just scroll back up in case you loose your settings. Or save them.

1) Open a new transparent image 293 x 295

2) Add a new raster layer and name it Head, Click Selections and Load from disk and load Head.sel, flood fill with #B09262 (or color of choice). Keep selected.

3) Selections invert and add a drop shadow using color #4C3C22 Use, H=3, V=3, Opacity= 65, Blur=2.5. Add another shadow only change the Horizontal to -3 and the vertical to -3 rest leave the same. (Remember To Save)

4) Selections, Deselect.

5) Go to Effects Plugins and use Eye Candy 3 Jiggle with these settings Below

6) Add a new raster layer and name it Left Ear, Go to selections and load from disk Left Ear.sel, flood will with the same color #B09262. Keep Selected, go to selections invert and use the same setting for the drop shadow. H= 3, V= 3, Opacity= 65, Blur= 2.5. Keeping selected do the second drop shadow of H=-3, V=-3, Opacity= 65, blur= 2.5. Selections, deselect, then apply the same Eye Candy Jiggle.

7) Add a new raster Layer and name it right Ear. Load from disk, Right Ear sel. Repeat the same steps as in #6 for the drop shadow and eye candy jiggle. (Remember To Save)

8) Hide your head layer and bottom layer by clicking on the glasses on the layer palette, merge your two ears layers visible, drag them down so they are under your head layer. Or click on layers at the top after you click on the newly named layer called Ears. Click on arrange, then move down. You should have layer 1, then ears then head at the top.

Your bear should look like the picture below (Yours is Larger, I just resized mine to save download time, and the image isnt real clear)



9) Now click on your ears layer making it highlight and it is now the active layer. Add a new raster layer name it body. Click on Selections Load from disk and load Body.sel flood fill with #B09262. Keep Selected. Go to selections, invert and apply the same drop shadow, remember to reapply changing the horizontal and vertical to -3 leaving opacity and Blur the same. Selections, Deselect and apply the same Eye Candy Jiggle here's a reminder.



Our Little bear is shaping up isn't he? Did you Remember to save???

10) Click on your layer Ears and, Add a new raster layer name it Left Arm, Selections load from disk, load Left Arm.sel Flood fill with same color, #B09262. Keep Selected, Go to Selections, Invert and apply the same drop shadow. V=3, H=3, Opacity= 65, blur= 2.5. Repeat the drop shadow only changing Vertical to -3 and Horizontial to -3. Leaving the rest the same. The color is still the same #795F35. Selections Deselect, Add the same Eye Candy Jiggle.

11) Add A new raster layer name it left leg, Load from disk Left Leg.sel, flood fill with our color #B09262, keep selected, go to selections invert and apply the same drop shadow, remember to repeat the drop shadow and change the Horizontal and vertical to -3 leaving the rest the same, Selections Deselect, Apply the same eye candy Jiggle,

12) Click on Layer Named Body and, Add a new layer name it Right arm. Load from disk Right Arm.sel, repeat the same steps as in #9 for the drop shadow and the eye candy jiggle.

Almost done with your adorable, Lil Bear. This is what you should have so far. (Remember To Save)



13) Click on your layer palette, click on the body layer and on that same layer load from disk Tummy.sel, then click on colors, adjust brightness, contrast, and put in -10. Selections Deselect. (or click on ctrl + D.)

14) Open your layer palette click on your ears layer. Load from disk innerears.sel, click on colors, adjust/brightness and put in -10. Selections, Deselect.

15) Click on your head layer and load from disk Mouth.sel, flood fill with black. Selections, deselect. While on the same layer (head). Load from disk eyes, Flood fill with black. Effects, 3D effect use the preset innerbevel for round. Selections Deselect.

16) Add a new raster layer, name it Nose. Go To selections, Load from disk Nose.sel, flood fill with black, then add the same round inner bevel you used for the eyes.

Now you can merge visible. And save as a tube or keep him like he is unmerge, and make a copy to merge visible and export to your tubes folder, you will be able to use him in some more "Adventure's with Timmy And Little Bear".... Just what do you think is in store for these two little guys???
