Or use a solid color, I have included
some patterns Here to Download,
Save to folder of choice.
Open patterns and minimize in workspace
Ready To Begin? Don't forget to save Often.
1) Open a new transparent image

2) Add a new raster layer name it dress, Click selections load from disk and load up 01 Dress
flood fill with your choice of color or pattern.
3) I am choosing a solid color I think a light cream color, #F6EDE9
I have some samples in the zip with the selections, you can use one
of these if you would prefer... Selections, select none or click on ctrl + D.
4) Add a new raster layer name it apron, Click selections, load from disk and load 02 Apron, Flood fill with your choice of color or pattern, I chose to use the purple flowers pattern at a scale of 80%. Selections, select none, (or click on ctrl+D)Don't forget to save Often
5) Add a new raster layer name it bonnet, Click selections, load from disk and load 03 Bonnet, Use the same fill pattern or color you used in the dress. Selections, select none.
6) Add a new raster layer name it foot, click selections load from disk 04 foot, flood fill with #E2D1BC. Selections selection none. Or click on (ctrl+D).
7) Click on your layer palette and drag the foot layer under the dress layer. Select none. Your Image should look like the one below.
8) Make sure to click on the top layer again (bonnet). Add a new raster layer rename it flag pole, click on selections load from disk and load Flag Pole.sel, Flood fill with white, Use your favorite silver or gold preset in super blade pro, or use effects - texture effects scroll down till you see Sculpture, and apply the default silver preset. I happen to like this one for this tutorial. See Image below of how to apply Sculpture effect.
9) Go to selections, modify - contract by 2, then selections invert, and hit your delete key one time, this should get rid of any jaggie lines we have. Selections, select none. Don't forget to save Often
10) Add a new raster layer name it Flag. Go to selections, load from disk and load, Flag.sel, Flood fill with white. Selections , Select none.
11) Staying on the same layer, go to selections load from disk, and load red stripes, Selections, modify expand by 2 then, flood fill with #C4391E. (or color of your choosing, this is for the USA Flag) Selections, select none.
12) Selections load from disk, and load BLue.sel, Flood fill with #062D9E, a dark blue, or color of your choice. Selections, select none.
13) Selections load from disk, and load stars, flood fill with white.
Selections, select none. Don't forget to save Often
14) Add a new raster layer, name it hand, selections, load from disk, 05 Hand.sel, flood fill with #E2D1BC. Selections, select none.
15) Add a new raster layer, name it arm, load from disk 06 arm.sel, pick a dark color from your pattern fill and flood fill the arm/sleeve.
16) Open your layer pallet, click on the layer named apron, Add a new raster layer, name it pocket, go to Selections and load the selection 07 pocket.sel. Flood Fill with the same color you used on the sleeve.
Selections, Select none. Don't forget to save Often
17) Open your layer Palette again, and click on the bonnet. Add a new layer "bonnet band". Selections, load from disk, 08 bonnet band. Flood fill with a color you would like to use, I think I am going to use the dark color I used on the sleeve to kind of pull it together. I used the purple pattern and used #494357, for the sleeve and the hat band. you can add a flower or what ever tube you would like to add even a bow.
18) Click on the top layer. RIght click merge visible, Selections Load from disk, Accents, Click on colors, adjust-brightness-darkness, put in -12. (play with the darkening a bit depending on what colors you used, until you are happy with what you see).
19) Now you can save one more time and export this to your tubes and you have a nice image for the 4th of July. Or your holiday from your country.
